welcome back

I think this photo captures a lot of emotion. The rubble from the earthquake is sad, but the sky in the background gives it a more hopeful mood. I think the lone man walking in the middle is just what this photo needed to be powerful.

This was one of the few happy photos on the website. In the presidential campaign, there was a focus on negativity and it was in the media everyday, but this photo shows a different side of what the media portrayed.

This photo really caught my eye because the vibrant color stood out against all of the others. Urmia lake was almost completely dried up before the rains. I really liked he texture of the water with the contrast of the mountains.

1. Love On The Brain- Rihanna

This was my favorite song because I really liked this song and it was stuck in my head for so long.
I have listened to Rihanna for a long time, so when she came out with a new album, I listened to all of the songs. I liked how much slower and different this song was from most of the album.

2. Moana

This was by far the best movie of 2016. The movie was not a traditional princess movie and thats what made it so much better. The message in the movie was about choosing your own path in life and not judging people until you get to know them. It had some hilarious scenes and some sad ones too and the music was so good.

3. The Presidential Election

This was the most important news of 2016 was the presidential debate. It decided the future of our country for the nest four years. The debates and all the scandals were heavily covered by the media and everyone had a different opinion. I was attracted to this story because it will affect my life for the rest of high school.

4. Beyonce

Besides coming out with a successful album this year, Beyonce did a lot to speak out against racial injustice. I picked her because there is no negativity surrounding her. She used her voice and platform as a celebrity to bring to light issues that are important to her and effect so many people.

5. Simone Biles

Simone Biles was the most important athlete in my opinion. She broke olympic records and led team USA in the olympics. I was interested in this because I was a gymnast for 3 years and I competed in many competitions. I think she is very inspirational and I hope she is at the next olympics.

1. This break I got to go back to Colorado and snowboard. There was snow everywhere and I actually had a white christmas.

2. My resolution for 2017 is to be happier and sleep more.

3. In 2017 I am looking forward to hanging out with friends and traveling.
