opinion writing 2

Imagine waking up tomorrow and not having honey to spread on your toast. Then going to the grocery store and looking in the produce isle for avocados, grapes and pears and not being able to find any. Sound unrealistic, right? Well, maybe not. This hypothetical scenario is going to become our reality and very soon. The bee population is dying fast and its our fault.      Bees are the one thing that all of those items above have in common. They are the reason we have so many different foods and they are dying. Plants rely on bees to pollinate them so they can make our fruits and vegetables. Almost one third of everything that we eat is a direct result of bees. So whats making these helpful insects die off up to 30% a year in the past couple of decades?      Well actually it's the farmers that bees help who are killing them. A type of insecticides called neonicotinoids. These pesticides, and others, have a devastating effect on the bee population. But these pesticides are not

1. Reading the websites was a refresher for me because I have had limited experience in the past with iMovie. I learned that iMovie is relatively easy to use and all you need is on one page. You can choose a theme for your video and that theme will automatically determine the transitions and other settings. You can select clips to add to your movie in the Event Pane tab and your movie will be save to the project event tab. The playhead is a red line that shows you what point in the video that you are editing. You can import pictures and videos into iMovie to add. 2. The websites explained how to title and select a theme for the movie and that I knew how to do. 3. I didn't know that you could import videos from the FaceTime camera on your computer. 4. I am concerned about how to make the pictures and videos transition well using iMovie. I feel like because I'm going back and forth between those two, it might not look good. 5. I am going to try to get my videos and pi

opinion writing questions

Try to use more details than generalizations, the reader will get more interested if it has details and be interested. 3. Don't start every sentence with 'I' because it will disrupt the flow of you essay. Try to make connections is your essay by giving examples from the real world that everyday people can relate to. final exam planning

My story is going to be a day in the life of a high school student when they aren't in class. I am going to use my best friend as the subject and document her day from when she gets up in the morning to when she falls asleep. I would be shooting at her house and downtown Austin. I would shoot over the weekend because I can use two days to get footage. I only need to use my camera because I can take video on it and possibly a tripod. I am going to use the still photos for the beginning and end and I will take my videos in the middle. I also want to use several pictures in quick succession to make it look like she is moving. My narration is going to be at the beginning and the very end. I also think that it might look good to do a time lapse for my video, but it just depends on time and what looks right with the photos.

nut graf

A nut graf is usually the second paragraph of a news story. The word comes from the phrase "in a nutshell". It means that the paragraph is supposed to sum up and give the important facts of the news story. If the story is written in news style, then the nut graf will be at the beginning of the story, known as the lead. It should address the who, what, when, where, and why of the story. It is important to not give everything away in the nut graf.  It should not give away the ending of the story or any information that should be revealed later. Instead, the paragraph should address the early on questions that the reader might have. This is a good place to put in a hook and get the reader interested in the story.

Entries: 1. Sam Adams 2. sports (BMX) 3. the shots have the back of someones head, the background is interrupted by an irrelevant object, not enough movement 4. his silhouettes, the facial expressions 5. I liked the portfolio, I think it was very diverse in subject matter and the photos were shot with the appropriate shutter speed. The only thing that bothered me was that some of his photos were shot too wide and ruined what could have been a good action shot. 1. Carlos Delgado 2. picture story, sports 3. cluttered background, the color is off due to over editing, he doesn't avoid mergers 4 some photos are focused well, tells the story of the paralyzed lady well (good content) 5. I was really bothered by the backgrounds of most of his photos, he didn't really take any consideration when choosing his shots. Most of the photos I looked at were obviously over edited and even though I don't know too much about editing, it was obvious to me. 1. Justin Mott 2. pict
