what- She was selected as the Student of the Month.

why- Jessica was chosen to be the student of the month because she is a leader at school. She makes satisfactory grades in all of her classes and participates in many school clubs and sports. Outside of school, she volunteers and makes the community a better place.
how- She was recommended by her teachers and the recommendation is sent to the school administrators. The assistant principal then looks through all of the recommendations and chooses the best one.
intro- Every month the school is in charge of choosing a student of the month. The selection process is very long and difficult. The student of the month must be a leader in his or her community and a role model. This month, Jessica Smith was chosen. She is a straight A student and participates in photography club, as well as, varsity soccer. The principal said she was, "one of the most promising recommendations that this school has seen."

Jessica is a role model for students in the classroom and outside of it. She is also involved in many aspects of the school community and numerous clubs. Jessica was recommended by her teachers and ultimately was chosen by the principal.

"I chose Jessica because she has shown consistently that she is a fast learner and role model in the Bowie community," says the principal, Ms. Susan Leos. This is Jessica's first time being chosen as a Student of the Month. "I was very honored to be chosen as s Student of the Month, " Smith said when asked about being chosen, "I hope I can inspire others to try to be a Student of the Month too."
